This workshop is inspired by Martia, a spring tradition of the Balkans. As a part of this tradition, people wear woven bracelets on the first day of March each year, and later, the bracelet is tied to the first flowering branch of the season that they chance upon.
Bookworm will invite participants to weave and wear simple bracelets with charms and a library word which they can take with them and tie to any tree branch which makes them stop and notice. The objective is to slow down and reconnect with stories and traditions of human-nature connections and to participate in them, forging new connections with the city.
This workshop is a part of the‘The Library is a Growing Organism’ curation by Bookworm.
