In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to transform waste into their own artworks. There will be two sections of the workshop. The first being a beach clean-up.
Attendees will collect a variety of discarded items, ranging from plastic wrappers and bottle caps to sea glass and fishing materials. These collected items will then be sorted and cleaned, preparing them for the creative process.
This will be followed by the facilitator highlighting the possibilities for creation by showcasing his own artworks. Thereafter, the attendees will have the freedom to design and produce sculptures, decorative hangings, or mosaics, transforming the once-discarded materials into unique and visually striking pieces.
This workshop aims to not only reduce waste and promote sustainability but also to inspire participants to see the potential in the items we often overlook. By repurposing waste, attendees will learn to appreciate the beauty that can emerge from the seemingly mundane and develop a deeper understanding of the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
