Feni, a centuries-old country liquor from Goa, holds a deep cultural significance, with each village boasting its own unique distillery and loyal following. While traditionally consumed in its pure form, recent years have seen the emergence of innovative Feni brands introducing diverse flavors and infusions, paving the way for its evolution. Drawing parallels with Mexico’s Tequila—once a humble country liquor, now a global trend commanding premium prices—The Feni Project seeks to explore how Feni can undergo a similar transformation. This workshop will feature a tasting session of traditional and barrel-aged Feni, showcasing its heritage, versatility, and potential as a premium beverage in global markets.
