  • Special Project

Bridge Bharat introduces ‘Songs of Day and Night’, a textile installation that is a unique iteration of Gond art with traditional embroidery of Chamba Rumal and Chikankari. This materialistic intervention allows us to experience and read into the living traditions of these art forms, their songs, and folktales with the tactility of embroidery traditions. All three art forms in the installation respond to the site of a tree through the experiences of livelihood, culture and aesthetics. The botanical motifs and designs are ever-present in the art forms.

This project is produced through the curatorial intervention of Bridge Bharat along with Venkat Shyam, Lalita Vakil and Naghma.
