Dating back to the 1500s, the Accounts Building has seen many visions and versions of Panjim. With its wide verandah, a grand colonnade, and mysterious secret tunnels, SAF is excited to bring this venue alive with a range of visual arts exhibitions, installations, workshops, and screenings.

The building will host our grantees, engage with urgent themes such as climate change, feature Narkasur effigies, thought-provoking documentaries, and installations that explore the complexities of our hyper-stimulated world through public participation and much more. Between these experiences, our on-site café invites you to pause and enjoy a quick bite.

SAG Ground
SAG Ground

This riverside playground along the Mandovi transforms into a spellbinding open-air stage for a grand theatrical performance. Inspired by The Saga of Khasak, the magic realist novel by O.V. Vijayan, the story follows a young man seeking refuge in a remote Kerala village after a troubled past.

The arena comes alive with The Legends of Khasak, an elaborate, multi-sensory setup using fire, soil, water, scent, fog, and the open sky as its canvas. Drawing from Theyyam, the powerful ritual art form of North Malabar, the performance weaves in towering puppets, vivid masks, and mystic symbolism to create an unforgettable theatrical journey.
