This exploratory body of work brings together stories of salts from India — the distinct lands they originate from, the lives and cultures of the people who craft them, and how it seeps into our daily lives. The exhibit presents perspectives that transcend simplified, linear perceptions of salt as merely a common ingredient or flavour and pays emphasis on its complex and all encompassing spirit — its play in our natural order of being, our life and vitality.

Salt is presented as it is — fundamental to sustenance and preservation, shaped by time and the elements, and giving rise to unfolding times, traditions, and stories. With space held for sensory immersion, the viewer is invited to engage with its nature and patterns, its myriad names, traditions that surround it, and experiences of its makers.
