When you touch a sound, taste a colour, and smell a memory, where are you? How do we make sense of the synaesthetic overlaps, the intangible sensations, the cognitive provocations and the multiplicity of meanings that are found in this transcendent, otherworldly sensorium? As a response to the exhibition A Haptic Score curated by Veerangana Solanki, this conversation addresses the intersecting topography of the senses, bodies, materials and perceptions, where visual and non-visual stimuli meet in complex ways providing tantalising opportunities for artistic exploration.
