This workshop is designed to help children understand and manage their own emotions, and to better recognize and influence the emotions of others. These skills are crucial for improving communication, reducing conflict, and building stronger relationships in childhood.

Children are dancing around on mats like it’s a game and when music stops then the child on a particular mat has to turn the mat around and act out the emotion that is drawn on the mat. And one or two other children are to help him or her deal with that emotion. Then the facilitator expresses what is the right way to deal with the emotion.

This covers key components of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness (recognizing own triggers), self-regulation (managing reactions), empathy (understanding others' emotions), and social skills (navigating social situations effectively). The goal is to move from simply reacting to thoughtfully responding, leading to a more positive and productive interactions for children as they grow.

Age Limit: 6-16 years

Facilitator: Dr. Shefali Batra
