    Indian Music on Film: Tuning 2 You: Lost Musicians of India

    In 2017, musician Soumik Datta returned to India to seek out rural musicians off the beaten trail. The result, Indian Music on Film: Tuning 2 You: Lost Musicians of India is a unique documentary film series that tracks down the last torch bearers of traditional arts—mystic Bauls, classical gurus and singing forest tribes.

    Spanning 6 states and showcasing over 100 rural artists, the series journeys through forests, deserts, mountains, and coastlines, connecting people, religions and voices. A homage to the human condition, it celebrates music’s ability to endure and inspire in unexpected places.
