Rehmat-e-Nusrat brings the timeless power of qawwali to contemporary audiences with soulful renditions of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s iconic works, alongside Sufiyana kalaams of Amir Khusrao, Kabir, Baba Bulleh Shah, and Meera Bai. Their performances are an intimate yet electrifying experience, weaving devotional poetry with rich harmonium and rhythmic claps. Rooted in tradition yet brimming with youthful energy, the ensemble reimagines qawwali for today while preserving its spiritual essence.
This performance will be held on a unique sunset cruise departing from Santa Monica Jetty. Audience members will get the opportunity to revel in the rays of the setting sun while the cool breeze blowing across the Mandovi river carries notes of the artists and their jugalbandi.
Please arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before the start time, otherwise entry cannot be guaranteed.
