The Old GMC Complex

Maquinez Palace Theatre

Date 15th December

04:00 PM - 07:00 PM

Nagari Film Festival's first day begins with an award ceremony, screenings of all the Nagari Short Films 2025, and panel discussions on this year’s theme, ‘Public Realm in Urban India’ with the Nagari mentors and jury.

The afternoon will commence with the screening of City on the Water by Charles Correa (1975). This film opens by capturing a city bursting at its seams and sets the tone for an urgent call to action. Made in 1975—exactly fifty years ago—the film was part of Correa’s broader effort to convince city authorities of the pressing need for Bombay’s expansion across the harbour.

The Nagari Film Festival is supported by a generous grant from the Tata Trusts.

Kindly note that seating is on first-come, first-served basis.
