Infinite Drape is an exhibition that draws upon Rashmi Varma’s longstanding practice with cloth, form, and the body. It explores the infinite possibilities of sari draping in India, both established and evolving. What emerges is not just variation, but depth with an entire visual and tactile language passed down through generations of wearers.

At the heart of this exhibition is The Sari Series, an online anthology created by Border&Fall, presented with the handmade saris of design house fashion label Raw Mango. Infinite Drape is an invitation to see draping not as a side note to craft, but as a craft in itself — intuitive, technical, generative, and democratic. One that compliments and brings life to the sari’s complex materiality. In the folds, pleats, and tucks of these drapes lies a memory of what was, and the possibility of what could be.
